  2. 1. Purpose For The Pain par Renée.
    2. Grace For The Moment par Max Lucado.
    3. Le Grand Meaulnes par Alain-Fournier.
    4. Love On A Dime par Cara Lynn James.

  3. Right now I've been reading Uncle Tom's Cabin as well, The Ballad of the White Horse by G.K. Chesterton, and Story Craft by John Erickson. I'd highly recommend all three!

  4. Uncle Tom's Cabin is one of my favorite books of all time. I also love To Kill a Mockingbird. My mom read Love, Lucy, and she liked it a lot. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Wow, great books! Tori, I just had to say that To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books ever. Grace, those books look amazing. I might have to check into the one by Chesterton especially :)

and alex - well, we figured there was no reason not to post your comments :) And no, actually, my internet doesn't translate it for me, and I've never taken French in my life - but it's a romance language and I've had enough of Spanish that I at least was able to understand some of it!

  6. Stopping in again now that I've got a bit of time. Here are five I've read lately/am reading:

    1. David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens.
    2. A Return to Modesty, by Wendy Shalit
    3. The Lost Art of True Beauty, by Leslie Ludy
    4. Beautiful Girlhood, the version revised by Karen Andreola
    5. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. But I'm always in the middle of a Narnia book. :)

I'm not quite far into 'David Copperfield', but I'd recommend the four others fervently! I particularly enjoyed reading 'The Lost Art of True Beauty' for the first time just a bit ago. I've actually read it again since, working and thinking through a chapter a day.
